What if I’m Hungry?
Hunger may occur in the first few days. After the first few days on the Losing phase (and because of the prescription), you will likely see a significant decrease in appetite. Make sure you are following the program and consuming plenty of water. Speak with your coach/clinician if hunger persists, as water/fiber can aid in that process. If necessary, we may adapt your daily intake as well.
Can I use my normal make-up?
Many make-up and body products are oil-based. It’s recommended to stay away from oil-based products as you go through the process and switch to oil-free make-up. Again, only a recommendation!
I’m having leg cramps…what should I do?
Try supplementing with potassium each day or increasing your intake of potassium-rich foods. Also, check your level of water intake; are you drinking enough? Pink salt has been shown to be of benefit as well. High mineral content Pink salt has been shown to assist with keeping your body’s cells hydrated.
What can I do about constipation?
This can be a common side effect of having less food weight traveling through the gastrointestinal tract. Make sure you are drinking enough fluid and try a light activity. You may also try soluble fiber supplements (less than 2 NET carbs) such as konjac root, flax, or chia seed (try Fiberzyme) or probiotics. Smooth Move tea is also acceptable.
What if my weight loss stalls out?
Plateaus are periods of stalled weight loss and are perfectly normal. Be assured that although the number on the scale may be stalled, you are still Losing inches and improving your body composition, and this stall may be due to the body rebuilding healthy tissue. If you stall for more than 5 days, you can try an “apple day” in which you consume 6 large apples and water and no other food. Keep in mind, nearly everyone will plateau or stall at some point. Again, it’s perfectly normal.
What if I feel fatigued or in a bad mood?
As part of the program, you’ll be utilizing B12 for general nutrition and energy to assist with this. Also, be certain that you get outside and enjoy some sunshine and a mild walk.
What if I feel like I’m getting sick?
If you notice that your immune system seems a little down, try getting extra sleep as well as supplementing with Vitamin C, Vitamin D, Zinc, B-vitamins and essential fatty acids. If the illness progresses it may be necessary to contact your healthcare provider to discuss options.
Wouldn’t I lose the same amount eating a calorie-restricted diet without Weight Management formula?
A calorie-restricted diet will result in weight loss in most clients. However, many clients who attempt to lose weight by simply cutting calories are unsuccessful due to the many discomforts associated with reducing calorie intake. Does The Weight Loss Slow Down After The First Month?
The weight loss is fastest during the first weeks and then slows down gradually after that. The body will plateau or level off after 3- 4 weeks. This is typical and does not mean that your weight loss has stopped. Typically, inches are being lost continuously throughout the program. Weight loss is usually achieved in a stair- step fashion.
